Language Acquisition with the Help of Captions

Abstract


Abstract English movies with captions have special advantages to compensate for students’ lack of experience abroad. With the help of captions, students could improve their English study interests and efficiency, improve their pronunciation, grasp more vocabularies, improve their cross-culture communicative competence and then increase their vocabulary application ability. Teachers should design all kinds of activities to achieve the goal of increase students’ vocabulary acquisition.
